According to a blog post, Facebook is shutting down its Parse mobile backend as a service (MBaaS) cloud.Parse will be fully retired after a year-long period ending on January 28, 2017.

Facebook acquired Parse in 2013.

Parse was launched in year 2013 and after that

“We’re proud that we’ve been able to help so many of you build great mobile apps, but we need to focus our resources elsewhere,” Facebook Parse chief technology officer Kevin Lacker

Facebook released a database migration tool to migrate Parse app data into any MongoDB database. Apart from this Parse Server will be now an Open Source software.
